part I  - I am

What do you do for paid and/or unpaid work?: I'm a man of many talents

What do you do in your spare time, do you have any hobbies?: I like to rap! Sometimes i swim, sometimes I play football, sometimes I go to the gym (sometimes meaning rarely). Lying about doing nothing and sleeping is good. I like to socialise, drink and smoke. I like the odd T.V. show now and then, I like films and music. I like writing raps. I like watching football. I love eating and spending time with family, friends and Rachael Mccamphill.

I also like learning about history.

Do you have a disability? If so, do you see it as a disability?: Not that I'm aware of.

What is your cultural background and do you think it has influenced the way you move? If yes, how?:  English, middle class, left wing, atheist  1990s...I think it most probably does. Culture is very influential in all aspects of life.

part 2 - my movements

What does the word 'movement' mean to you and do you consider yourself a 'mover'?: Movement is one of those words that has many meanings. It can mean the normal movement of an object or living being, It can mean a political movement or cultural or religious, some of which I like, and most I don't! It can mean dancing. It can be social economic as in movement of capital and populations. It can be exercise, it can be making love. One step forward one step backward ah inna babylon!!!!!!!!

Did your Parents/Grandparents/Carers teach you about exercise, care for your body, posture, ways of moving? If yes what lessons do you remember?: I'm not sure about posture, but my Dad used to take me to football and my Mum made me take swimming classes.

Did they teach you things directly or did you just pick things up?: I probably just picked things up. Dad told me once go for the nuts if your in a fight.

Many people say they want to feel 'confident' and 'comfortable' or that they admire people who look 'confident' and 'comfortable in their own skin'. What do these words really mean to you and can you describe them as a way of moving?: Yeah, mos def, it's a movement of your mind. Most people probably doubt themselves or are unhappy with their image or uncomfortable in their skin or whatever from time to time. But I reckon when your comfortable with yourself life is nicer. The catalysts for this movement in either direction are both within and without I reckon.

Do you  have a movement philosophy, what is it?: Exodus Movement Of Jah People

Do you have a favorite movement mantra or quote?: History will absolve me. If you are the big tree we are the small axe, sharp and ready. Movements fi mek, Typhoons brew, Strong and cold sheist them a still coast thru left right left right. Whom wants this, or that, watch these enzymes react, watch how we juggle tings proper ley something something.

part 3  - my body

What does 'self-care' mean to you?: Something I need to do more of physically.

Which phrases do you use often to describe your body? Where do you feel or locate these words on your body?: 'Beer belly on mi beer belly' and 'hairy everywhere except mi head.'

Do you think you have something 'characteristic' about the way you move? If yes please describe. : Ha Ha! Yes,  like a penguin.

What are some of the things you like about the way you move?: It's the way I move and I like it.

What do you find yourself sitting on most often and how do you like to sit?: I sit and slump at almost every opportunity.

How often do you sit on the floor? Can you describe how your body feels when you sit on the floor?: I prefer not to but will if needs must.

What kind of surfaces does the skin on your feet and hands come into contact with through an average day? : My feet hit socks and the bathroom floor and at the moment their hitting flip flops.

Which side of the mouth do you chew with more?: Right usually , but left at the moment because I have tooth ache on my right, I need to go to the dentist and I've stopped drinking coke ( he types while taking a sip of coke).

Are you right handed, left handed or ambidextrous? How does this affect your movement choices in daily life?: Right handed, I use my right hand and foot for almost everything.

How much sleep would you generally say you need and do you get it? if not why?: 8 to 10 hours. Sometimes I get it but when I have to behave like a normal human being I don't.

Do you take naps? If yes whats an ideal nap length and place?: yes 8 to 10 hours!
